The first locality that emerges after leaving the capital is Santana that besides being rewarded with a beautiful beach is famous by three reasons: its beautiful church, the sights for the small Islet Santana and for its rebuild Club Santana, a French tourist enterprise that has got more and more popularity because of the quality of its service. Few kilometers after you can reach Agua Ize, one of the most ancient and famous cocoa plantation and that deserve to be visited. In the neighborhood there is something familiar for the Portuguese: the Boca do Inferno, a natural attraction composed by a tunnel and two holes digging in the lava by the power of the water that break out in a thousand and one splashes.
